The Dark Knight

18 07 2008

I’ve heard many good reviews for the upcoming The Dark Knight, especially Heath Ledger’s portrayal of the Clown Prince of Crime. It’s a very unfortunate event that an actor of his caliber passed away at such a young age.

Christopher Nolan’s direction on Batman Begins practically set the bar really high when it comes to adapting comic books into films. There have been expectations that The Dark Knight would set an even higher bar from Batman Begins. But I think The Dark Knight has already set the bar quite high when it comes to marketing. I’ve been really hyped up for the movie from many viral marketing tactics from several mock-up websites that suppose to look like the real Gotham City’s related websites and Harvey Dent’s campaign for running Gotham City’s district attorney that took place in many U.S. cities such as Chicago, Los Angeles, Boston, etc.

I also love many posters for The Dark Knight, especially this one. It has this sense of collage. Many Joker’s cards make up Batman’s image as if Joker is part of Batman. So I thought. I’ve got to get myself a hand on this poster.
