Nighthawks Redux

18 07 2008

I’m a big fan of Edward Hopper’s artworks. His works have a certain quality of loneliness within the city. My favorite is Nighthawks. The whole picture can tell a story of a few individuals who stay out very late in an all-night diner in, I guess, 1950s America. Somehow Nighthawks has been a picture of alteration for a while – ranging from Cartoon Network’s own version of Nighthawks several years ago to promotional artwork for “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” couple of years ago.

But the one I found on Artcatchr just made me laugh. I’ve seen a lot of alteration on Nighthawks but I never see one that literally breaking the window, haha.
