Cuil (pronounce “cool”) is a new search engine created by, according to the New York Times article, former Google employees Anna Patterson, Tom Costello and other former Google employees. I went over to Cuil website and tried their search engine. Cuil has a potential to be big. It sorts the search result by content so it makes it easier for you to browse for your result. Though it has that potential to be big, I doubt if it would take over Google’s mantle of search engine king. And I wonder if people still use other search engines available aside from Google. Sometimes I use Alta Vista and Yahoo but I mainly use Google when I want to search for something. From the looks of Cuil website now, it still has rooms for development but this website has a potential to hit it big.
